Hi,
I'm wondering if there is a program for the PC that is comparable to Apple's Final Cut Pro? Anyone using the Adobe stuff? I'm playing with Pinnacle's Studio Plus program but looking for something with a little more horsepower.
Or is the Apple stuff so much better that it just makes sense to get a mini-mac and change platforms completely? Is it that much better? I'd rather stay on my PC platform and put my cash towards software. I'd like to stay in the $500 or less price range.
Thanks!
Rick

Re: can anyone recommend video editing software for a PC?

Sat, May 7, 2005 - 9:00 PMThe best thing for the PC that is comparable to Final Cut Pro is Adobe Premiere. They have a new version called Premiere Elements that contains the main features of premiere and a lot easier to use. I think its only 100 bucks.

Sun, May 15, 2005 - 10:02 AMafter getting my hands on final cut pro, I would say that premiere is just about the exact same thing. Looks, feels, layout. A few small things are missing out of each, but it looks to me that editing film on my pc is faster than on my mac. PC is 4 years old, but have kept it up to date, mac is not a year old yet (and now has tiger...) SO, i would suggest getting premiere. find a student to buy it for you if you have too!

Mon, May 16, 2005 - 10:58 PMcool - thanks for the feedback. The Pinnacle software is decent, but I'll probably try the Adobe software too. way cheaper than throwing down for a mini-mac. -
