I want to buy a small digital video camera and willing to spend up to 1500 on it.
I am trying to decide between a digital SRL and a video camera.
Is there a video camera that will also take still photographs and long exposures with high quality high megapixels?
The size matters too because I don't want the camera to be obstrusive while with friends and such

Re: Buying a diggy video camera
Sun, October 23, 2005 - 11:04 PMWow, this might be late but my experience with the sony handycam digital camcorders is that they are nice and portable but the still photos are not high quality. I haven't found one that has the best of both worlds and have carried around both. Digital SLR's will take video in the form of mpegs, however, it is tricky to edit on Mac systems.
