I'm a bit biased, but if you want a real simple way to edit, share and get on DVD short films, try www.onetruemedia.com You can do about 90% of iMovie, in about 10% of the time - plus, you can email the movies out, buy them on DVD, or download them to you Video iPod or PSP. All your content is online so you can even edit at work!
